What you will do
You choose a pattern first — a card wallet, a bifold, or a small crossbody bag — and then choose your hide from what the workshop has in stock that week. Most of it is goatskin, tanned in Fes, which is why it smells the way it does.

Per person. Leather, thread and hardware included.
The work is cutting to the pattern, bevelling and burnishing the edges, marking the stitch line with a pricking iron, and then saddle-stitching by hand with two needles. Saddle stitch is slower than a machine and does not unravel when one thread breaks, which is the whole argument for it.
Four hours is enough to finish a wallet comfortably, or a small bag if you work steadily. Nothing has to be fired or left behind: what you made goes with you the same day, and you are not taken to a shop afterwards.
