What you will do
You choose a bisque-fired blank — a plate, a small bowl, or a tile — and paint it with the metal-oxide pigments used in the workshop. Cobalt goes on grey and comes out of the kiln blue, which takes some trust.
FesPotteryArt
Two hours painting a bisque-fired plate or bowl in the cobalt patterns Fes is known for. The steadiest hand in the family usually loses.

Per person. Blank piece, pigments, glazing and firing included.
Your teacher draws the two foundation patterns for you to copy: the eight-point star and the running border. Both are built from repeated marks rather than drawn freehand, so they are learnable in an afternoon.
The piece is glazed and fired after you leave, so it is ready a few days later — we tell you exactly when, and we can send it on if you have left Fes. This is the workshop to book if you're travelling with children, or if the wheel sounds like too much.
